Almost one third of Asturias has been declared a protected natural reserve, the intention is to preserve the magnificent legacy that nature has given us. Also some of these parks are part of the european national reserve of the biosphere. Some of the most important parks are for example Somiedo, Picos de Europa, Covadonga, Redes, Muniellos, etc. The best thing, of course, is to see these places for yourself but we will try to give a short summarisation about the most famous ones because apart of that ones we have as well natural reserves, partial natural reserve and protected landscape
